Rental Info :	Built in 2017, Silver Star Apartments is a 48 one-bedroom unit apartments dedicated 100% for special needs community targeting veterans who were homeless and have disabilities. The community is located just south of downtown Los Angeles with a park and access to food and shopping within walking distance. Silver Star Apartments offers affordable housing to qualified applicants meeting program requirements. Silver Star Apartments is 100% ADA accessible. 10% of the units (a total of 5 units) are ADA ready and meet all Federal, State, and local ADA requirements. In addition, the other 44 units are ADA adaptable, meaning that they are fully equipped and ready to make any necessary accommodations. In addition, 4% of the units (a total of 2 units) are for sight/hearing impaired tenants and meet all applicable requirements.
Policy :	The project has an uncovered parking lot with 26 parking spaces. There are three offices on the first floor for supportive services staff that will be available to provide services to the residents. In addition, there is a community room with tables, chairs, a sofa, and a television. A community kitchen is part of the community room, and there is an adjacent computer lab. There is also an on-site laundry room and outdoor courtyard with built in benches. All of these common areas are located on the ground floor. Units are furnished with a kitchen table with two chairs, full-sized beds, a dresser and a nightstand. All include refrigerators and stove/ovens. Janitorial and housekeeping services will be provided three times a week in order to clean the common areas of the building. The building is equipped with solar panels.
